SVG is the real file — it scales to a truck wrap without going fuzzy. PNG is there for anything that will not open an SVG.
The parent mark. Website, proposals, trucks, signage. If you only use one, use this.
For anything small. Favicon, app icon, a shirt pocket — the ring text turns to mush below about an inch, the spade does not.
Where a circle does not fit. Website headers, letterheads, email signatures, the top of a proposal.
